Dear Porsche 356 friends,

There was a time when Estoril was a place where Kings and Queens from different European countries lived together in perfect harmony. This sounds like a famous Paul McCartney song, but it's the plain truth. They all came to seek refuge from political turmoil back home and ended up transforming this quiet and lovely town into their place of choice to live the rest of their lives. The weather was soft and mild all year round, people were friendly, there was culture and tradition in every corner and the big town, Lisbon, was only a few miles away.

Take Hotel Palácio do Estoril, for example, the place where most of you will stay during the 2024 Meeting. King Juan Carlos of Spain and his parents were frequent guests for dinner parties, so did King Humberto of Italy and many other royals. Antoine Saint-Éxupery was a customer too, just like Graham Greene and Ian Fleming. Legend has it that James Bond was "born" at this hotel while Mr. Fleming was on duty at Her Majesty service. Of course you will find memories of those times scattered along the many rooms this charming hotel has to offer. Talk about a place full of glamour...

Portugal was and is recognized internationally receiving several awards, demonstrates Portugal’s vocation for tourism, with a very warm way to receive other nationalities.
The organizing committee is providing an attractive programme with a strong tourism and cultural aspect.

If you walk a few hundred yards you will get to Tamariz Beach or the Casino, Your choice. But if you're up to something more exciting, the railway station is right next to the beach and the train will take you to the busy Lisbon night in half an hour.

Please take good note that Estoril 2024 will be held from 09th to 12th May, but we strongly suggest that you stay a few days more to fully enjoy your trip to our lovely country. We recommend that you register as soon as possible, to quietly work out your traveling plans. On the other hand, due to limitations at Hotel Palácio, the number of participants will be limited.
